Today students participated in the Great Utah Shake Out by practicing an earthquake drill. Teachers discussed the procedure of DUCK, COVER, and HOLD ON in their classrooms. After the morning announcements, students practiced the drill and stayed in posititon for one minute. Our students did a great job staying calm and quietly following instructions. This was a great opportunity to make sure we are prepared.
Last month our students participated in literacy month. They filled out slips for doing various literacy activites through out the month. Students who participated were eligible to win prizes through weekly random drawings. At the end of the month, the classs totals were tallied and the following classes had the top number of literacy activities:
1st Place: Miss Bailey's PM Kindergarten (Pizza Party)
2nd Place: Mrs. Miller's 6th Grade Class (Ice Cream Sandwich Party)
3rd Place: Mrs. Christensen's 1st Grade Class (Popcorn Party)
Congratulations to our Students of the Month!

Nebo is partnering with Tabitha’s Way for a new event called Read & Feed.
The purpose of this event is to encourage children to continue to read during the summer and to educate families facing food insecurity regarding food resources available to them and their children while they are not attending school. Our goal is to gather 10,000 gently used books that children can take home with them and keep to read during the summer.
There is a lot of advice out there on how to raise your kids- some better than others.
