The first grade went up to Hogle Zoo for a field trip! We we able to see a lot of animals. We had fun watching them up close! Here are a few pictures courtesy of the parents of students in Miss Johnson's class. We couldn't have such a successful field without the parents to help watch the kids.
UDOT presented a SNAP asssembly today. Hobble Creek students grades K-3rd learned about safety when out on the roads. Thanks UDOT!

The 5th grade field trip to the Springville Power Plant on September 27th was a fun learning experience for the students. They learned how Springville City makes electrical power and uses it. Thank you Springville for having us! The experience was writtten down by a student at Hobble Creek, Bryce Jameson. Great story Bryce!
Power Plant Field Trip
When I got to the power plant, it stunk so bad that everyone had to plug their nose.
We have a new music teacher at Hobble Creek. She lives here in Mapleton and has 5 children. She has a degree in elementary education and loves our students. Our students are already learning a lot about music, composing and tones. What a great year all the students will have.
The students in Mrs. York's 3rd grade class were able to learn a lot about science and engineering on Tuesday, October 4, 2016. They learned the concepts of bridge building through paper models. They also used straws, cardboard, and posterboard. Great job students!
We have a really fun after school activity going on right now, smart with art. We hope to have many more after school activities this year at Hobble Creek.
The Kindergarten classes all went to the Mapleton Fire Department on Friday, September 30, 2016. They had a great time walking there and then learning what our fire department does every day to help people in our community.
