Tami Johnson is the 2012-13 Hobble Creek Elementary School recipient of the Crystal Apple Award.  Miss Johnson graduated from Utah Valley University in 2005. She has been teaching first grade at Hobble Creek ever since. Tami was nominated for this award by fellow teachers.  “It is easy to see that Tami loves teaching and the children she teaches. She is positive & loving and her students adore her!” When not at school, Tami enjoys reading, decorating cakes and spending lots of time her favorite people, her nieces and nephews. She also takes care of her mother who suffers from Alzheimer ’s disease. In addition, Tami continues learning. Tami earned her Master’s Degree in Education with a Visual Arts Endorsement from Southern Utah University in 2011. She lives by her 1st grade motto: 1st graders can do hard things. Apparently, 1st grade teachers can, too! The Crystal Apple Award was presented to Miss Johnson by Craig Harvey of Horace Mann Insurance. Miss Johnson was chosen for this award by her fellow teachers.
