Before school students in the choir arrive to warm up sing and shape their brains.  The choir gifted the school with a concert assembly, a few songs at the Mapleton-Springville PTA Council meeting and and evening performance for parents.  Their leaders are Mrs. Thueson, Mrs. Paxton, and Mrs. Rex.

The Hobble Creek student council attended a leadership conference at BYU on Monday Nov. 9 where they took classes and listened to speakers. They learned how to be better leaders and had so much fun!

Hobble Creek Students brought photos of their relatives who are veterans.  The photos are displayed in the hall with a short explaination of who they are and how they served. 

Students signed a pledge to take action by being an upstander not a bystander.

Mrs. Smith's Second Grade Class won the November Spirit Week Award. 

Dr Hank came to Hobble Creek today to talk to the student body about Bullying.  He talked about making choices.  He told stories about students who stood tall to help another student who was being bullied.  He told the students that there is a big amount of bullying that happens at home among siblings.  He reminded the students to QUIT is they are being bullied; Question the bully.  Unit with others to question the bully.  Ignore the bully. Talk to an adult.   The students chanted "We don't stand by we stand tall!" 

As a culminating event students presented projects they created showing their knowledge about the ancient Egyptian Civilisation.
