For Halloween this yearMrs. Hayes class had day full of science. They made slime and a chemical explosion. The students took time to think about what they were doing and what they expected to happen. As the students thought about what ingredients to add to their project, they also thought about what was going to happen as they added different ingredients. Some students jumped back in fear of what might happen. Throughout the day students were able to use critical thinking skills

Springville Power Plant

We all had a great time at the power plant, we learned a lot about being safe near electricity like how if you digging a hole call 811 before you do because if you dig into a wire you could get electrocuted or worse! They answered all of ours answer and were very friendly. There were a couple stations you could go to and they all taught you about different things about electricity. One of my favorite stations was the lab stations where he taught us a few safety rules first and then we could do experiments. They also showed us the engineering room which was a lot of fun to see! The people were very kind and showed us a ton of cool stuff, if we asked questions they would answer them and show us an example if we asked something about the pipes for example they would show us the pipe we asked about and tell us a little bit about it. It was so much fun at the power plant and I hope we can all go back there another time!
