Guest Speaker in Mrs. Muhlestein's Class... Read to find out who it was!

Submitted by jade.muhlestein on

Mrs. Muhlestein's 3rd grade class had a fun guest speaker... They had the opportunity to have Orson Colby come in and talk to them about Luge. He competes in Luge and told the students all about it. He told them how he got into and about setting goals to get where he is now.

Students got to try out his sled, see his gear, and all the medals he has won. He talked about how hard Olympians work to achieve their goals. He is currently working towards the goal of being in the 2024 Junior Winter Olympics. It was such a neat experience to have him come.

Did The Groundhog See His Shadow?

Did the groundhog see his shadow?

Yes he did. Do you know what that means? 6 more weeks of winter.

Miss Johnson's 4th grade class had fun making shadows. They made creatures out of tin foil that helped them stand up on their own. Then they used flashlights to make different size shadows.

Our school nurse Mrs. Boston did such a great job teaching our students the proper way of staying clean and healthy. She taught them how to have good hygiene and the benefits it can do for us. She also talked about the cons and what it can do to us if we don't have good hygiene.
