We had a great assembly to king off our Literacy Month. Literacy isn't just reading and we had 3 guests come and speak about what literacy means to them.

Emily Inouye Huey: Writes historical fiction for children and teens.

Kelly Cook: teaches drama at Mapleton Jr High. She went to school in London England where she studied theater.

Paige Fish: Goes to Springville High School and attended Hobble Creek Elementary. Paige is a singer/song writer. She was most recently on American Idol Season 20

We can't wait for our Literacy Month and all the fun things we have planned.
