Mrs. Frossard, a special education technician at Hobble Creek Elementary, recieved the PEAK award at board meeting for being an outstanding employee.  Anyone who know Mrs. Frossard knows what a compassionate, kind, and amazing person we have here at Hobble Creek.  She is a wonderful advocate for our students and makes a big difference in the lives of the students she works with.  Congratulations Mrs. Frossard!

National School Breakfast Week: March 4-8th!

Get ready to start your engines! March 4-8th is National School Breakfast Week. The District will track how many students eat school breakfast, and the elementary school that has the highest increase in breakfast participation will receive a traveling trophy. Help our school win by eating school breakfast.

Kindergarten Registration is Moving to Summer!

Kindergarten registration, traditionally held in March, will be moved to the summer and combined with grades 1st -12th. More detailed information regarding summer registration for K-6th will be sent out to you before the end of the school year.

Parents can prepare now for registering their kindergarten children by making sure they have a birth certificate and that their child is current on the following immunizations: DTap, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Polio, Varicella and MMR by the end of July.

Top Scorers for Our Fourth Math Olympiad Contest!

After the fourth, and penultimate Math Olympiad contest of the year, the Hobble Creek Math Olympiad team is really hitting their stride!  Although no student was able to answer all 5 questions correctly (Mr. Boring even missed one), over half of the team got 4 of the 5 correct.  Kuddos to 6th graders Ashley H., Auralee S., Johnny F., Luke W., Ben J., David H., 5th graders Sadie B., Ethan C., 4th grader George B. and 3rd grader Rachel H. for outstanding papers!  Hobble Creek Elementary team, consisting of the top 10 scores through the first four contests, now has 136 out of 200 points.  Way to go!!!

NetSmartz Assembly for White Ribbon Week!

Students learned about how to be safe and make good choices when using the internet and social media. Students are encouraged to talk with their parents about their media choices and make a family plan.
