The pictured students were Hobble Creek Elementary's STUDENTS OF THE WEEK on February 8, 2013: Koa McIlwain, Dylan Corfield, Trey Hawkins, Mason Garrett, Oaklie Peterson, Jordan Jenkins, Laicie Hepworth, Whitney McCluskey, Ethan Dorny, Claire Nemelka, Dillon Hales, Emma Collette, Olivia Smith, Timothy Barton, Cameron Lee, Jonathan Holman, Justin McClellan, Julianna Brady, Lauren Fullmer, and Jesse Harness.
The culminating event of the social studies on Greece were Olympic Games. Teams from Argos, Athens,Corinth, and Sparta masks, shields, and banners to the field of sport. basket ball shooting, and cup stacking were among the events.

The Hobble Creek student council visited the South Utah Valley Animal
Shelter in Spanish Fork to deliver the money and goods raised by the
school through our Penny Wars charity fundraiser. Hobble Creek
students raised over $1200 for the animals, which will go towards
supplies, medicine, and vaccinations.
The South Utah Valley Animal Shelter would like to thank all of Hobble
Creek Elementary for their generosity!

Science fair projects were displayed in the gym today giving the judges a chance to look and listen to the science experiments sixth grade students have been working on since December. some of the winning projects were: "The Power of Fruit "by Jensyn Black, " Saliva's Defense Against Acid " by Andrew Thomson, "Which Fruit Tested has the Greatest Amount of Vitamin C" by Gabi Smith, "Can People Tell the Difference Between Generic and Name Brand Foods" by Samantha Strunk. Kelsey Corfield, Jacob Richey, Maddie Frischnecht,and Emme Smith were also winners. The winners will compete at the Nebo District Science Fair.
