Hobble Creek Student Council has been busy counting pennies! They sponsored a fund raising competition to raise funds for Primary Children's Medical Center. The student body supported the effort giving the student council the opportunty to count many pennies.
Hobble Creek Chess Club concluded it's sixth week and left the school with strategies and t-shirts to use at the Nebo District Chess Tournament on Saturday February 28. We appreciate all the work Mrs. Winward and Mrs. Call put into organizing the chess club.
Thanks to funding from the Utah Division of Arts and Museums and the National Endowment for the Arts, Serena Kanig Benish, UVU voice professor and opera diva will be working with the third and fifth grades on an opera. Serena brought some of her UVU students to Hobble Creek to introduce them to opera. The assembly showed the students a wide range of voices from baritone to soprano as well as finding the story from the music even when it was in Italian or French.
James Chamberlain and Olivia Smith will be taking their science fair projects on the the next level of competition on March 25 at the Central Utah Science and Engineering Fair at BYU. Approximately 875 students will be competing March 23-26, 2015 for more than $60,000 in cash and prizes! The top prize winners at CUSEF advance on to compete in the Broadcom MASTERS Competition, the Discovery Education 3M Young Scientist Challenge, the International Sustainable (Energy, Engineering, Environment) Project Olympiad and the Intel International Science & Engineering Fair.

The student body enjoyed dressing up for Ribbon Week. Thank Mrs. Gleason for all the work you did to make it a successful week.
100 % of Miss Sant's class wore school colors on the last day of Red Ribbon Week to win the trophy.
Sixth Grade students participated in the Hobble Creek science fair. Students went through the scietific process and brought their results and conclusions to be judged. The winners will advance to the Nebo District Science Fair.
