Hobble Creek Elementary participates in the GAINS program (Growing Arts In Nebo Schools). This year the art focus for the program is DANCE! Students and teachers have been working this year with Melanie Fillmore, district dance specialist, on ways to integrate dance and movement to enhance learning. Here are a couple of the things each grade has been up to!
Math Olympiad is an international Math enrichment program designed to challenge students to develop problem solving skills and creativity. Participating Hobble Creek 4th, 5th and 6th grade students meet weekly to solve problems, discuss strategies, and have fun! Each month from November through March these students test their skills by solving five questions. 20 students competed in our November Contest. Congratulations to Hobble Creek's top scorer, 6th grader Ashley H., and runner-ups, 6th graders Johnny F. and Auralee S.
Timpanogos Storyteller, Donald Davis, comes from North Carolina to visit Hobble Creek.
