Hobble Creek had a special visitor this week!  Jolly St. Nick visited each classroom and handed out treats to our students.  What a fun surprise for our students!  "Ugly" sweaters were seen all around among our faculty and students.  During this last week of school we saw lots of "Cindy-Lou-Who's, Green Grinches, and pajama clad students!  Our teachers and staff have done a great job helping students get excited for Christmas....not that the kids needed much help!  

We hope you have a safe and healthy Christmas Break and hope to see you all back here next year!

Introduction to our two new middle schools

Today our 5th and 6th graders met with principals of the two new middle schools opening this fall.  Mr. Whitney will be the principal at Maple Grove Middle School in Mapleton and Mrs. Hansen will be the principal at Spring Canyon Middle School in Springville.  Students met with their respective principals to learn a little bit about how middle school will work.  Students were introduced to some of the new features and fun things the middle schools have to offer.  Students were also given information on registering for their classes next year and were sent home with some paperwork to get started.  Forms need to be returned to their Hobble Creek teachers by Wednesday, December 16th and counselors from the middle schools will be at the school on Thursday, December 17th to help students officially register.

This is an exciting time for our current 5th and 6th graders and hopefully they are excited to be some of the first students in these new schools.  We will miss having 6th graders in our school, but we know they are in for a great new adventure!

 Suxth graders enjoyed six weeks of N.O.V.A Education taught by Officer Wolfgramm every Wednesday.  Each student wrote their own constitution essay about their goals in life and how NOVA has helped them in their journey. Two winners from each class were chosen. Pictured are Mrs. Miller’s class and her winners. Congratulations to all our 6th Grade N.O.V.A. graduates!
