The 2nd and 4th graders were able to have Owls visit our students!
The white owl pictured is a Barn Owl and the larger brown owl is a Horned Owl. Fun fact about this larger owl is that its mother is one of the Owls from Harry Potter! It weighs 12 pounds and isn't even full grown yet! It has a wing span of 6 feet! The Horned Owl is from Russia! Its only counter part is the Golden Eagle. They do not bother each other because the Golden Eagle feeds during the day and the Owl feeds at night!
