This week our  amazing PTA provided a huge dessert buffet to show appreciation for all the faculty and staff at Hobble Creek.  It was such an amazing gesture and our PTA went above and beyond!  It has been a crazy year with lots of changes due to the pandemic and the PTA, along with faculty and staff, have done a great job working within the limitations.  Thank you again to our PTA for all the hard work--it was so appreciated!!

Congratulations to our own Boston Flake for being a double winner in the 2020-21 PTA Reflections contest!  Boston won the Award of Excellence for Literature and Award of Merit for Music Composition. He was surprised with the awards in his class this week and banner will hang in our halls for the remainder of the year.  Congratulations Boston and thanks for representing Hobble Creek!  We are all so proud of you! #Hawksrock

For the last few weeks, Ms. Sayers class has kept a close eye on their little chicken eggs.  They have been kept warm and cozy in a little incubator until this week when they have started to hatch!  The students have been so excited to see them come out of their shells and turn into fluffy little chicks.  The eggs will continue to hatch throughout the week and should all be cute, fluffy chicks before school is dismissed for the summer.  What a fun project for these 1st graders! This week the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) in partnership with various other divisions, jointly announced their efforts to help build consumer awareness about the Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB), a new Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program. The temporary benefit will help to lower the cost of broadband service for eligible households during the COVID-19 pandemic. Enrollment for the program begins on May 12, 2021.

Over the last two weeks our 3rd- 6th grades participated in track meets sponsored by Mapleton City Recreation.  Our students did great and most of all had FUN!  Field trips have been extremely limited this year so this was a fun treat for the students.  Our 6th Graders "dominated" this year and won several events.  Hattie Templeman won 1st in 1600m and 800m for the 6th grade girls!  Our 6th grade won the mixed relay with Gillian, Ella, Tim and Gage and several others placed!  Congratulations to all our amazing athletes and to a
